Jewelry Care

Fine jewelry is made to be worn every day and kept for decades. A little care keeps your pieces as brilliant as the day they arrived.

Everyday care

  • Put jewelry on last — after perfume, lotion, and hairspray — and take it off first.
  • Remove rings and bracelets before the gym, swimming, gardening, or housework. Chlorine and harsh chemicals can dull finishes over time.
  • Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined box so stones don't scratch each other or the gold.

Cleaning at home

Soak your piece for 10–15 minutes in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Gently brush with a soft toothbrush — especially behind the stones where lotion collects — rinse under warm water, and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

This simple routine is safe for solid 14K gold, lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, and sapphires alike.

14K gold

Solid 14K gold is made for daily wear, but it can pick up fine surface scratches over time — that's normal and part of its character. A jeweler can professionally polish gold back to a mirror finish whenever you like.

Lab-grown diamonds & moissanite

Both stones are exceptionally hard and hold their fire beautifully. If brilliance ever looks muted, it's almost always a film of everyday oils — the warm-water soak above restores it instantly.

When to see a jeweler

Once a year, have prongs and settings checked — especially on engagement rings and tennis pieces worn daily. A quick inspection keeps every stone secure.
